From September 4–6, 2026, Longchamp presents the inaugural Longchamp Art Festival in Paris, a multidisciplinary celebration of contemporary creativity centered around a single theme: movement. Conceived by Longchamp Artistic Director Sophie Delafontaine and curator Olivier Bassuet, the festival brings together nearly thirty artists and designers from around the world, creating a dialogue between visual art, design, music, dance, performance, and digital media. Hosted at Galerie Joseph in the heart of the Marais, the festival is envisioned as a gift to the city and an invitation to experience art through curiosity, discovery, and exchange.

The festival's manifesto, Always in Motion, reflects Longchamp's longstanding relationship with creativity and its belief that movement extends beyond physical motion. It exists in the artist's gesture, in the transformation of materials, in shifting perspectives, and in the exchange of ideas between disciplines. Through this lens, the festival explores how artists make movement visible through form, light, color, material, sound, and the body itself.

Charlotte Landreau, Martha Graham Dance Company, I (1/10) | Dye Sublimation Print on Aluminum, 50 x 42 in

Among the artists selected for this international presentation are Deborah Ory and Ken Browar, founders of NYC Dance Project, whose photography has become celebrated worldwide for its ability to capture the fleeting beauty of dance. Their featured work portrays Charlotte Landreau, then a soloist with the Martha Graham Dance Company. Suspended at the height of her motion, Landreau's gesture becomes sculptural, transforming an ephemeral movement into a lasting visual form. As the festival notes, the photograph reveals "the grace of movement," while the flowing dress extends the dancer's gesture through space.

For more than a decade, NYC Dance Project has documented many of the world's leading dancers and companies, creating images that exist at the intersection of dance, fashion, and fine art. Their inclusion in the Longchamp Art Festival is a fitting recognition of work that embodies the festival's central theme: making the invisible visible and preserving movement in a single, timeless moment.

We are delighted to see NYC Dance Project represented in this remarkable gathering of international artists and honored to continue sharing their work with collectors through the gallery.
