Using his ancestor's tools, mainly surgical scalpels, Chris Maynard carves meaning into feathers. Feathers, themselves are perfect creations. Maynard adds interest, nuance, and content for us by carving them into images that we can relate to and find meaning in. Instead of chapters, he writes snippets for each image, exploring the symbolism and myths associated with feathers, the values and thoughts that arise when observing birds, their flight, and their behavior.

Join us to hear Maynard discuss his work and sign copies of his new book, The Art of Chris Maynard: Feathers -  Symbology and Meaning.
