Diehl Gallery has long been a supporter of nonprofit organizations through our exhibition program. This summer, we're pleased to support Dancers' Workshop through the photography of Ken Browar & Deborah Ory/NYC DANCE PROJECT (read more about them here).
Browar and Ory, the husband and wife team behind NYC DANCE PROJECT, have created a series of magnificent photographs of the dancers from Martha Graham Dance Company, including Jackson resident and DW instructor Charlotte Landreau. When Browar and Ory made plans to visit Jackson Hole in the summer of 2024 to see Landreau and the Martha Graham company perform, presented by Dancers' Workshop, it made perfect sense to pair their visit with a DW event at Diehl Gallery.
Dancers' Workshop presents a unique art and dance evening to remember. Come by to meet Ken Browar and Deborah Ory of NYC Dance Project, along with the members of Martha Graham Dance Company, including Jackson local Charlotte Landreau.
Browar and Ory's beautiful book, The Art of Movement (see details below), will be available for purchase in the gallery and the artists will sign books during the event.

A stunning celebration of movement and dance in hundreds of breathtaking photographs of more than 70 dancers from American Ballet Theater, New York City Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Martha Graham Dance Company, Boston Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, the Royal Ballet, and many more.
The Art of Movement is an exquisitely designed, beautifully produced book that captures the movement, flow, energy, and grace of many of the most accomplished dancers in the world. These are the artists, from all walks of life, who are defining dance today. Here they are frozen in time in the most exquisite poses, and yet there's a feeling of movement in every photograph that makes the appear to be dancing across the pages. Accompanying the photographs are intimate and inspiring words from the dancers, as well as from choreographers and artistic directors, on what dance means to them.

"Dance lovers, here is your Rodeo Drive shopping spree, your Four Seasons spa day, your celeb-indulgence wrapped in intoxicating finery. All you need ask yourself is: Do I prefer my ballerinas in tutus or in ball gowns? Here, the dramatic lighting and compressed storytelling of a Vogue shoot are paired with gorgeous creatures who seem to be floating, flying or balanced on nothingness." - The Washington Post
"The photos capture the art and athleticism of some of today's best dancers with striking and intimate portraits." - CNN
